The “Vegas” Rule: What’s shared here, stays here. These are private stories. I won’t copy, share, or post excerpts online (social media, blogs, etc.)

Constructive Kindness: We share these stories to spark conversation and connection. My comments will be kind and supportive in a spirit of shared wisdom.

To ensure Life on a Three-Legged Camel remains a sanctuary for raw truth and learned wisdom, we ask all members to honor these three pillars:

Radical Respect & Radical Listening Our stories span the full human spectrum—from the “ghosts” of multi-generational trauma to the hilarity of mishaps or the quiet rebellion of a life well-lived. Whether a story is a deep confession or a comedic romp, it deserves a respectful audience.
The Rule: No judgment, no shaming, and no unsolicited “fixing.” We are here to witness each other’s journeys—to laugh where there is joy and hold space where there is pain—without telling the author how they “should” have felt or acted.

Confidentiality: The “Vegas” Rule Many of our members are sharing “lived experiences” for the first time—stories they may not have even told their own families.
The Rule: What is shared in the Club stays in the Club. Please do not screen-shot, share, or gossip about another member’s story. We protect each other’s bravery.

Constructive “Vibe” Only We are a community of writers and truth-seekers, not a “complaint department.”
The Rule: While we may explore “toxic shame” and past hurts, our goal is always liberation and growth. We focus on the “learned wisdom” rather than staying stuck in the “resentment.”

Ownership of Voice You own your story. We are a platform for unpublished authors to share their experiences.
The Rule: Respect the privacy and intellectual property of others.
